Three Saskatoon men are facing charges following an investigation into fentanyl trafficking by members of the Saskatoon Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team.
On December 22, 2017, two men ages 53 and 31 were arrested in a parking lot in the 1500 block of 8th Street East after investigators witnessed what appeared to be drug transactions taking place. The 53 year old man was found to be in possession of more than $1500 and the 31 year old man was in possession of a fentanyl pill. Officers seized a 2010 Dodge Ram truck. Later that evening a search warrant was executed at a home in the 2000 block of Wilson Crescent. Inside 55 fentanyl pills, 16 diazepam pills, a cocaine press and other drug paraphernalia were located. A 36 year old male was also arrested at that time.
The 53 and 36 year old men are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl. The 53 year old is also facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking diazepam and possession of the proceeds of crime. The 31 year old is facing a charge of possession of fentanyl. They are expected to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court.
