Saskatoon Police are investigating a stabbing which took place in the 600 Block Avenue I South at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Police were called to St Paul’s Hospital at 6:38 p.m., January 30, 2017 where an 18 year old man had arrived suffering from non-life threatening stab wounds to his back. The victim reported that he had been in a car with his girlfriend and agreed to pick up a male that was known to him in the 600 Block of Avenue I South. Upon arrival the suspect got into the car with a second male and an altercation took place at which time the victim was stabbed in the back. The two suspects fled the area.
The victim was transported to St Paul’s Hospital by his girlfriend and is being treated for non-life threatening stab wounds. The Targeting Enforcement Unit and Forensic Identification were called and the investigation is ongoing.
