Following an autopsy the death of a 22 year old woman found in the 1500 block of 20th Street West has been found to be accidental in nature.
The autopsy was completed this afternoon and, based on the results along with evidence from the scene and interviews conducted by the Saskatoon Police Service, investigators have determined that foul play was not involved.
The investigation is now in the hands of the Office of the Chief Coroner of Saskatchewan. Toxicology results are still pending. The deceased's name will not be released at the family's request.
The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating after the body of a 22 year old female was located deceased in the 1500 block 20th Street West shortly after 10:30 AM January 1, 2017. An autopsy to determine the cause of death will occur but is yet to be scheduled. Major Crime investigators are working with the Office of the Chief Coroner.
