Saskatoon Police have one male in custody following an incident in the 600 block of 38th Street West. Two firearms have also been recovered from the home.
The incident, which began as a disturbance call, ended peacefully when the man exited the residence and gave himself up to officers. There were no injuries as a result of police involvement. Police are still investigating.
Traffic restrictions remain in place for the time being.
Saskatoon Police are at the scene of an incident in the 600 block of 38th Street West.
Motorists are asked to avoid the immediate area as traffic is being restricted on 38th Street between Avenues F and I.
At approximately 2:35 p.m., February 8, 2017, Police were called to a home where a disturbance was occurring. Officers were notified that there was at least one firearm inside the residence and a male may be barricaded. Members of the Tactical Support Unit and Patrol are on scene and are utilizing the Armoured Rescue Vehicle.
