An investigation by the Saskatoon Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team (SIDEST) has resulted in 5 people being charged.
At approximately 12:45 a.m., on February 10, 2017 search warrants were executed on several apartments in a building in the 100 block of 25th St West with the assistance of the Guns and Gang Unit, the Tactical Support Unit and the RCMP Emergency Response Team.
As a result of the investigation a stolen vehicle, methamphetamine, a loaded sawed off shotgun, a loaded .38 caliber handgun, ammunition, bear spray and several edged weapons were seized.
A 27 year old male is facing 22 charges which include Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000, Possession of a Firearm Without a License x 2, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon x 4, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Breach of Court Order.
A 21 year old male is facing 4 charges which include Possession of a Dangerous Weapon and Breaching a Court Order x 2.
A 17 year old male is facing 12 charges which included Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Firearm Without a License, and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon x 2.
A 32 year old female is facing 6 charges which include Possession of a Firearm Without a License and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon x 2.
A 22 year old female has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000 and since been released from custody.
The remaining 4 arrests will be making an initial court appearance before a Justice of the Peace the evening of February 10, 2017.
