A 30 year old man and a 19 year old woman are facing a number of charges following a theft and assaults.
On February 26, 2017 at 7:10 pm police received a call that a GMC Denali had just been stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Stillwater Drive. Shortly after, police received another call that a break and enter had just occurred to a residence in the 100 block of Stillwater Drive. Attending officers were flagged down and directed to Kingsmere Blvd and Stillwater Drive where the owner had located his truck and a confrontation had occurred between the suspects and the owner of the truck along with his family members. During the confrontation the suspects sprayed the owner and another male with bear spray. Police arrived and arrested both suspects. They located a black airsoft pistol and were able to determine the same individuals who stole the truck were responsible for the break and enter.
Both suspects are now facing charges of theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of carrying a weapon dangerous to the public and mischief over $5000.
The male was wanted for Armed Robbery in Alberta as well as for breaching his parole and the woman is also facing charges of breach of probation and breach of undertaking.
They are both expected to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court today.
