Saskatoon Police have charged a 15-year-old youth after he threatened staff at a convenience store with a knife.
At approximately 10:15 p.m, March 1, 2017, Police were dispatched to a weapons call at a convenience store in the 1500 block of 22nd Street West. It was reported that a male had entered the store and taken a chocolate bar. When asked to pay for the item, the male refused and brandished a knife, threatening staff. He left the store on foot. The Air Support Unit located the male and directed ground units to his location nearby where he was arrested without incident. Police also seized the knife.
No one was injured.
The 15-year-old is charged with Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Theft Under $5000 and Breaches of his Undertakings and Conditions.. He was also arrested on outstanding warrants.
