Armed Robbery - 1500 Block Of Rayner Ave

Saskatoon Police are investigating an armed robbery of a business which occurred yesterday afternoon.

Shortly before 3:00 p.m. on March 9, 2017 Police were called to a business in the 1500 block of Rayner Avenue for a report of a robbery that had just occurred. An employee reported that two male suspects had entered the business armed with bear spray and a sawed off shotgun. After stealing and undisclosed amount of cash from the till one of the suspects discharged bear spray throughout the business. The suspects then fled on foot. Although the employee was affected by the bear spray they did not require medical attention.

The suspect holding the sawed off shotgun is described as being 5’9” tall with a medium build. He was wearing a blue and white checkered jacket and had a blue bandana covering his face.

The investigation is continuing.
