Three 16 yr. old males are currently in custody facing weapons charges after a high risk vehicle stop March 11, 2017.
Police were called to the area of Attridge Dr. and Kenderdine Road just before 8:00 p.m. as a result of a complaint of a citizen almost being hit by a vehicle and then having a gun pointed towards them. Officers quickly arrived and located the suspect vehicle near Ludlow St. and Lowe Road at approximately 8:15 p.m.. A high risk vehicle stop was conducted and three 16 year old youths were taken into custody.
A BB handgun and a set of homemade brass knuckles were located and seized from the youths.
No shots were fired and there were no injuries.
All three males are facing criminal charges of being in possession of a weapon dangerous to the public for the handgun, and two of the youths are facing charges of being in possession of a prohibited weapon for the brass knuckles.
All three will remain in custody and will be seen by a Justice of the Peace tomorrow.
