On March 12, 2017 at approximately 1:06 pm, police were called for a report of a pizza delivery driver being robbed. Upon arrival, police learned that a pizza order had been placed and was to be delivered to an address in the 400 block of Ave Q North. When the driver arrived he was approached by a male on a bike who pepper sprayed the victim and then demanded cash. The suspect then fled with both the victim's money and the pizzas. It is believed the suspect had called in the order.
The suspect description is limited but he was described as being Indigenous, approximately 5ft tall with a mustache and carrying a backpack. The bike that the suspect had been operating was found abandoned nearby. The victim was treated at the scene by ambulance personnel for pepper spray exposure.
