Saskatoon Police are investigating after four persons unlawfully entered a residence last night and assaulted the two occupants.

At approximately 11:07 p.m., March 13, 2017, patrol officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Ave O south after it was reported that several males unlawfully entered the residence. The two adults inside the residence at the time of the incident were assaulted with both a machete and a steel baton. The suspects left the apartment after the assaults and one of the victims called the police.

Upon arrival police obtained information that the suspects were in another apartment within the same building. Officers were able to identify another apartment of interest and made contact with the people inside. Once speaking with the occupants the investigation revealed that several of them were responsible for the attack and arrests were made. Three male youths and one male adult were arrested and charged for aggravated assault and break and enter. Further charges may result as the investigation continues.

Both victims were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

This incident is not believed to be random.
