Two Arrested For Numerous Laundry Room Break Ins

Following investigation by members of the Saskatoon Police Break and Enter Unit, two people are facing more than 150 charges in relation to numerous break and enters to apartment building laundry rooms this year.

To date, 14 charges have been laid against a 38 year old Saskatoon man with 64 further charges pending. An 18 year old Saskatoon woman is facing 78 charges for the same offences.

The two were arrested in early April in connection with an investigation into the break and enters which had occurred during February, March, and the first week of April. The suspects broke in to laundry rooms in apartment blocks and damaged laundry machines to steal the money inside. The incidents occurred in most areas of the city. In some cases building managers were not even aware the offences had occurred.

The male accused is scheduled to appear again in Provincial Court on May 25, 2017. The woman is scheduled to appear on May 18, 2017. Court information # 991007530, 991007937, 991008075.
