At 11:21 a.m on April 30th, 2017 the Saskatoon Police Service received a report of an armed robbery which occurred at a business in the 2300 block of 33rd Street West. Upon arrival, police found that a lone male had fled the business after robbing it of cash and cigarettes. A detailed description of the suspect was provided to police.
At 12:07 p.m. two alert patrol officers spotted a male in the 700 block of 33rd Street West who matched the description of the suspect. Upon further investigation, the officers were able to determine the suspect was the person who had committed the robbery. The cigarettes as well as cash taken from the robbery was recovered from the 24 year old man. He has been charged with robbery as well as breaching his court conditions.
