UPDATE - Suspicious Item - Saskatoon Airport

Members of the Saskatoon Police Service have determined the item to be an alarm clock and are clearing the scene.


On May 7, 2017 at 9:20 a.m., Police were called to the Saskatoon John G. Diefenbaker International Airport after security located an electronic item that appeared suspicious in nature.  The item was found in a passenger's baggage while going through pre-board screening. Members of the Saskatoon Police Service Explosive Disposal Unit (EDU) and a K9 Unit that is trained in the detection of explosives, are currently at the scene.

No other information is available at this time.  An update will follow once more is known.
