Over $18,000 in speeding tickets were handed out Tuesday, May 9, 2017 in a Saskatoon construction zone.
Saskatoon police received several complaints in the morning of drivers speeding through a construction zone at the intersection of Boychuk Drive and Highway 16.
Four officers attended the area in the afternoon from 3:00 – 5:00. In those two hours, 50 speeding tickets were issued.
Fines triple in construction zones, with tickets starting at $300.
Saskatoon Police Service would like to remind drivers to slow to 30 km/hour in construction zones.
