Attempted Armed Robbery With A Handgun

On June 23, 2017, at 12:20 a.m., Police responded to robbery in progress at a business located at Warman Road and Assiniboine Drive.

Upon arrival Police learned that a masked male suspect had pointed a black handgun at an employee, forcing his way into business through the backdoor. There was a physical confrontation and the employee disarmed the suspect by hitting him with a metal rod. The suspect then fled empty handed in a brown 4 door car.

The employee was unharmed in the confrontation, but the suspect is believed to have sustained injuries. He may seek medical attention.

The black handgun was seized by Police and was in fact a BB gun.

The suspect is described as male, approximately 6’2” tall and may be between 35-45 years old.

The investigation is continuing.
