Saskatoon Police responded to two motor vehicle collisions this morning in the city’s north end.
The first collision happened at approximately 7:45 a.m., July 19, 2017 at the intersection of Avenue C North and 45th Street West. A vehicle heading north on Avenue C struck another vehicle attempting to make a left hand turn off of 45th Street West. The collision caused the turning vehicle to tip onto it's drivers side. MD Ambulance responded but no one was injured in the crash and no charges were laid. Traffic restrictions were in place, but the scene has since been cleared. Heavy rush hour traffic and obstructed views were the cause of the collision.
The second collision occurred approximately an hour later near a fast food restaurant in the 700 block of Circle Drive East. It also involved two vehicles and was minor in nature. No one was injured in the collision.
The SPS would like to remind drivers to slow down and give yourself extra time to get through our city’s busy rush hour.
