Youth Arrested For Possession Of Firearm And Methamphetamine Over Long Weekend

Saskatoon Police arrested a female youth after she was found to be in possession of a firearm and drugs over the weekend.

At approximately 12:30 a.m., August 6, 2017, Patrol officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Avenue B North after reports of shouting and a woman laying on the sidewalk. Upon Police arrival, a 16-year-old girl was observed laying on the grass and found her to be in possession of a sawed-off rifle, ammunition and methamphetamine.

The 16-year-old has been charged with Careless Use of a Firearm (x2), Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Carry Concealed Weapon, Unauthorized Possession of Firearm, Possession of Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition, Possession of Weapon Obtained by Commission of Offence and Possession of Methamphetamine.
