Saskatoon Police are currently at the scene of a collision that occurred this morning.
At approximately 9:30 a.m., August 10, 2017, officers were dispatched to the motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Somers Road and Central Avenue. A 27 year old man driving a car was traveling west-bound on Somers Road. When he proceeded into the intersection, he was struck by a north-bound semi.
MD Ambulance responded and transported the man to hospital with minor injuries. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle. The semi is currently stuck on the west side of Central Avenue which is causing traffic delays.
The SPS is advising the public to please avoid the area at this time.
