Saskatoon Police responded to a report of a man with a gun at approximately 10:30 a.m., September 15, 2017 in a residence on the 400 block of Craig Street.
Upon arrival a witness met officers and told them a man in the basement of the home was upset and in possession of a gun.
Police ordered the 38 year old male to come out of the house. He exited unarmed and was taken into custody without incident. He was then transported to Royal University Hospital for treatment.
Inside the home, officers located an imitation handgun that was actually a pellet gun, along with a knife.
Early on in the call, the SPS Tactical Support Unit responded with the Police Rescue Vehicle as a precaution for public safety. No charges were laid and no one was injured in this incident.
