Saskatoon Police responded to a report of a physical altercation involving bear spray, in progress downtown today at noon.
When officers arrived at the 100 block of 3rd Avenue North at 12:00 p.m., September 15, 2017, numerous individuals were found suffering from the effects of bear spray. Suspects had fled the scene prior to Police arrival.
A few minutes later, bicycle patrol members located a 14 year old male two blocks away matching a suspect description from witnesses. The officers located a can of bear spray and marihuana in his backpack.
A 14 year old male has been charged with Assault with a Weapon (X2), Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public, Carry a Concealed Weapon, Breach of Probation, Breach of Undertaking and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
