The Saskatchewan Police & Peace Officer Memorial is held annually on the last Sunday of September in Regina.
The 2nd Annual "Ride to Remember" is an event being held in order to honour the memory of fallen Saskatchewan Officers and bring awareness to the Memorial.
25 Police Officers from across the province will leave Prince Albert on Thursday, September 21st at 8:00 am, and will ride their bicycles to Regina. This year’s ride features a very special stop at the Robin Cameron School located at the Beardy’s First Nation. Cameron was an RCMP member who was killed on duty in 2006. She is originally from Beardy’s.
The group is expected to arrive in Regina late Saturday afternoon having completed over 450 km. The participants will take part in the Remembrance ceremony on Sunday at the Legislature. The ceremony is open to all members of the public.
