The Saskatoon Police Service will hold a media availability following the shooting incident that occurred downtown on the afternoon of September 27, 2017.
Acting Chief Mark Chatterbok will be available to speak to media at 11:00 a.m., September 28, 2017 in the Media Room at SPS Headquarters.
A news release with updated information will also be available at that time.
The Saskatoon Police are currently responding to an incident downtown.
Shortly after 3:00 p.m., September 27, 2017, Canine and Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of 4th Avenue South for a report of a theft from a vehicle in progress.
Details are sparse at this time. There is no threat to public safety, but traffic restrictions will be in place as Police continue to investigate. Further updates will be provided as information becomes available.
A media availability will take place at 4:30 p.m. at the Vimy Memorial (at Spadina Crescent and 20th Street).
