Three males are facing a number of drug and possession of proceeds of crime related charges following a cocaine trafficking investigation by the Saskatoon Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team (SIDEST). This was a continuation of a previous investigation where SIDEST seized approximately $45,000.00 in cash.
On September 29, 2017 SIDEST members observed activity consistent with drug trafficking and three males were arrested for trafficking cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and possession of proceeds of crime.
Search warrants were served in the 200 block Pinehouse Place and in the 1300 block 1st Avenue North. Officers located and seized $17, 575.00 in cash and further evidence consistent with drug trafficking at both locations. SIDEST was assisted by TSU members and a Canine unit.
In total SIDEST seized $18, 530.00 cash, 70.7 grams of cocaine, 10.0 grams of cannabis marihuana and two vehicles as offence related property.
Two males aged 29 and 25 from Surrey, BC and one male aged 19 from Whitehorse, Yukon will appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court Monday October 2, 2107.
SIDEST is an integrated unit made up of members of the Saskatoon Police and RCMP “F” Division.
