First Snowfall Causes City-wide Collisions

The Saskatoon Police would like to remind drivers to slow down and use extra caution today for our city’s first snowfall event. The roads are slick and icy in many locations.

From 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., November 1, 2017, there were 8 collisions in Saskatoon. The nature of the collisions vary from single vehicle to multi-vehicle collisions all across the city, on main arteries as well as side streets. No serious collisions or injuries have been reported thus far.

Drivers are advised to slow down, allow more space between themselves and the vehicle in front of them, and allow more time to reach their destinations.
