Saskatoon Police responded to 2 armed robberies in the matter of 20 minutes in the early morning hours of November 10, 2017.
At approximately 4:30 a.m. 2 males wearing masks with baseball bats and metal pipes walked into a place of business in the 100 block of Assiniboine Drive and demanded money. The suspects took off in a vehicle and left with a small amount of cash.
20 minutes later at 4:50 a.m. another armed robbery had occurred in the 2300 block of 33rd Street west. 2 males with the same description and weapons entered the place of business and demanded money and tobacco products. They were successful in robbing the business getting a small amount of cash and tobacco products.
A short time later SPS patrol members spotted the vehicle involved in the 2 armed robberies and 2 males were arrested for the robberies. The masks, weapons, and stolen items were located in the vehicle. In addition, no injuries were sustained to the business employees during the robberies.
