Evade Police - Two Arrested- Lorne Avenue/Cartwright Street

A 17 year old male and a 17 year old female are in custody following the theft of a truck and an evade police incident overnight.

Just before 3:00 a.m., November 20, 2017, a patrol officer spotted a suspicious vehicle in the 1300 block of Lorne Avenue. The officer attempted a traffic stop however the driver in the F350 truck refused to stop and began driving in a dangerous manner. Members of the Air Support Unit were in the air and quickly located the vehicle as it traveled down Lorne Avenue and onto Cartwright Street. The vehicle then soon left the road and traveled into a field where it became stuck. Officers on the ground located the two suspects and brought them into custody.

The 17 year old male is facing a number of charges including; evade police, dangerous driving, carrying a concealed weapon (knife), breach of undertaking, breach of probation, and impaired driving. The 17 year old female is facing charges of possession of stolen property and breach of undertaking.

Both are expected to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Tuesday, November 21, 2017.
