Saskatoon Police arrested a man yesterday with the help of the victims involved.
At approximately 4:00 p.m., November 20, 2017, Saskatoon Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Avenue B North for a report of a man on a bike with a weapon threatening two people in a vehicle. While driving in the area of 22nd Street West and Avenue C North, a man on a bike crossed the street in front of the complainant’s vehicle. After parking a short distance away on Avenue B North, the man approached the complainant’s vehicle. While the driver’s window was down, the man rushed towards the driver waiving a knife in his hand, shouting and threatening to harm the driver.
Upon Police arrival, both parties had left scene. While Patrol officers began searching the area for the suspect, the complainants arrived at Police Headquarters to provide a statement. They also provided photos of the suspect that they had captured on their cell phone during the incident. Using these photos, Patrol officers located the suspect a short time later in the 100 block of Wall Street where he was taken into custody.
