Two Arrested On Passenger Train - 1700 Block Of Chappell Drive

Two 23 year old males from Quebec are facing fraud charges with additional charges expected to be laid pending investigation.

On November 23, 2017, at approximately 2:10 p.m., Police received a call from staff of an incoming passenger train about suspicious credit card activity by two male passengers.

Police attended at 4:50 p.m. to the 1700 Block of Chappell Drive when the train pulled into the train station. Police learned that the two males had used a credit card in someone else’s name. Further investigation resulted in the seizure of $1000 worth of postage stamps, $10,000 worth of jewelry, at least 40 gift cards, 2 laptops and a skimming device.

The two males are currently facing a charge of Fraud Over $5000. One of the males is further charged with Breach of Probation and a Breach of Recognizance. Additional charges are pending against both males.

Both males will appear before a Justice of the Peace later on today.

The investigation is continuing.
