The Saskatoon Police Service was kept busy over night dealing with impaired drivers.
Just before 7:00 PM Friday evening a citizen called police reporting a vehicle driving erratically in the area of Lorne Ave. and Circle Drive. The citizen continued to follow the vehicle until police were able to stop it near Ave P and 19th Street. The driver, a 50 year old Saskatoon man has been charged for impaired driving and driving while over .08. He will appear in court later next month.
At 12:30 AM Saturday morning police were called to collision on 8th Street.. A vehicle traveling westbound on 8th Street ran into the back end of a vehicle stopped for a red light at Clarence Ave. There were no injuries however a 29 year old Saskatoon man has been charged with impaired driving and refusing a breath test. He will be in court next month.
At 1:25 AM a Patrol officer spotted a vehicle driving erratically in the area of 33rd St. W and Catherwood Drive. The 34 year old Saskatoon man operating the vehicle was arrested for impaired driving and will be in court in December.
At 3:22 AM police were called to Valens Drive where residents reported a truck racing around the area. It eventually struck a curb and the rear truck cap fell off. The 21 year old Saskatoon man who had been operating the truck was arrested and is charged with driving over .08 and impaired driving. He will be in court at a later date.
At 3:25 AM police were called to a rear-end collision Junor Ave at 33rd. A northbound vehicle struck a cab that was waiting for a traffic light at 33rd. There were no injuries, however a 27 year old Saskatoon man has been charged with impaired driving. Due to other factors he will be held in custody and brought before a Justice later this morning.
