A 30 year old Saskatoon man is facing a charge of Dangerous Driving Causing Death in connection with a fatal motorcycle collision on June 5, 2016.
The charge was laid following an extensive investigation by members of the Collision Analyst Unit. The accused is expected to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on February 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.

The 28 year old female involved in the Car/Motorcycle collision on June 5th has died in hospital. The collision occurred at the intersection of 8th Street and Grosvenor Ave, Sunday evening.
This is Saskatoon’s 3rd fatal collision of the year and our Collision Analyst Unit is investigating.
The family has requested that her name not be released.
A motorcycle with two riders was traveling east on 8th Street and hit the side of a car that was turning left from 8th onto Governor Ave. The occupant of the car was not hurt but the two motorcycle riders sustained serious injuries and were both transported to the hospital by ambulance. The accident reconstruction specialists will be attending to the scene and the public is asked to avoid the area until traffic restrictions have been lifted. 8th street east bound lanes are closed from Garrison Cres to Preston Ave and the left turning lane from 8th to Grosvenor is also closed until the scene is cleared. The Saskatoon Police Service wish to thank the public for their patience during the closures.
