Evade Police - ASU & Patrol Arrests

Two people were arrested Saturday afternoon after attempting to evade Police.

At approximately 3:00 p.m., December 2, 2017, SPS Patrol members located a stolen truck in the area of Avenue P South and 11th Street West. Officers followed the vehicle, a 2013 GMC Sierra, for a short distance before activating their emergency equipment in an attempt to conduct a traffic stop. The truck immediately accelerated, attempting to evade Police. Members on Patrol disengaged as the SPS Air Support Unit was monitoring the truck from the sky. The ASU observed the truck being driven erratically into oncoming traffic. The truck parked behind an apartment building in the 300 block of Avenue C South where two people exited the truck and entered the building. The ASU guided the initial Patrol officers to the apartment where the two suspects were located and arrested without incident.

A 32 year old Saskatoon man was charged with Possession of Stolen Property over $5000, Evade Police and Dangerous Driving.

A 17 year old Saskatoon girl was charged with Possession of Stolen Property over $5000.
