Shortly before 10:00 PM Tuesday evening, police were called to a parking lot in the 1700 block of Preston Ave. N. A witness had seen several men in the parking lot yelling at each other. At least one man was seen with what appeared to be a long-barrelled firearm and the witness reported hearing several shots fired. Officers arrived a few minutes later however there was no one around. Found at the scene was evidence of what appeared to be gunshots with indications that someone may have been hurt.
A short time later police became aware of a 35 year old Saskatoon man at Royal University Hospital suffering from what may be gunshot wounds, however his injuries were not life-threatening. Investigators are continuing with the investigation, however the victim is not overly cooperative. Police do not believe the incident was random in nature.
