Saskatoon Police Service patrol members continued with the investigation to the stabbing which occurred earlier tonight. Upon watching video from within the cab, officers have also charged the 34 year old male cab driver with assault on the 30 year old female which occurred prior to the stabbing. The female is still facing her charges from the original news release.
The male is still in hospital and as a result was released on an Appearance Notice with court on a later date.
On February 22, 2018 at approximately 8:39pm, The Saskatoon Police Service received a call that a male had been injured in the 500blk Ave M N, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
When patrol members arrived they located a 34 year old male cab driver suffering from a stab wound. He was transported to the hospital in stable condition by Medavie Health Services where he is expected to make a full recovery.
Officers located and arrested the 30 year old female suspect nearby and have charged her with Aggravated Assault and Breach of Probation. She will be appearing before a Judge on February 23, 2018 in relation to these charges.
