In the early afternoon of January 1, 2018 Saskatoon Police Service patrol members attended to the 400 block of Avenue R South regarding a report of a male with a sawed off shotgun. Through the course of the investigation it was confirmed that suspects were in possession of a sawed off shotgun in a residence in the area.
SPS Special Teams were called out at approximately 4:30p.m.. Three suspects were safely taken into custody for firearms related charges. The prohibited firearm and ammunition were seized from the residence, the incident concluded at 9:30p.m..
A 16 year old male, 19 year old female and 36 year old female are all facing charges of Careless Use of a Firearm, Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose and Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm as well as breaching court ordered conditions.
