Saskatoon Police are currently on scene after responding to reports of a dog attack.
At approximately 2:30 p.m., April 5, 2018, Patrol Officers responded to reports that a dog was attacking multiple people inside a residence in the 100 block of Huron Place. Upon Police arrival, a large commotion was heard coming from inside the residence. When they entered, they observed a man calling for assistance as the dog was attacking him. Officers attempted to use a conducted energy weapon but were unsuccessful. A member discharged their service weapon in another attempt to stop the attack and this time, were successful in stopping the threat.
Three people have been transported by Medavie Health Services to hospital for treatment for dog bites. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The dog is now deceased.
Police remain on scene.
