A man was arrested last night following a report of a stolen vehicle.
At approximately 8:45 p.m., June 12, 2018, Patrol officers received a report that a man's car had been stolen from the 3200 block of McGill Street. While Police were taking a statement from the victim, they received an update that the car’s GPS showed it was at St. Patrick Avenue and Hilliard Street. The vehicle was disabled and when Police arrived, they observed a man walking away from the vehicle. The man then ran through a yard in the 2200 block of St. Patrick Avenue and was arrested in the 100 block of Elm Street.
Further investigation found that between the time the male suspect left the stolen vehicle and the time he was arrested, he was witnessed committing a break-in to an apartment in the 100 block of Elm Street.
The 30-year-old man is facing charges of; Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000, Break and Enter, Possession of Stolen Identity Documents and Breach of Probation. He was also arrested on outstanding warrants. (Court Info # 991054915).
