Traffic Safety For Saskatchewan Roughriders’ Home Opener – June 15

The Saskatoon Police Service Traffic Unit and Combined Traffic Unit will be working with RCMP in order to make sure football fans travelling to and from Regina are safe on June 15th.

Police will be increasing patrols on roads linking Saskatoon and Regina and will be conducting sobriety check stops before and after the game.

Officers will be looking for aggressive driving behaviour, distracted driving and impaired driving. There will also be no tolerance for liquor being transported or consumed inside the passenger compartment of vehicles.

Motorists are reminded that they must slow to 60 km/h when passing emergency vehicles stopped with lights flashing. This applies to both lanes of travel.
