Two Arrested - Stolen Vehicle/Methamphetamine Located

A 22 year old Saskatoon man and a 21 year old man from Moose Jaw are in custody following an evade police incident that ended in a field north of Saskatoon overnight.

Just after midnight, July 5, 2018, an SPS officer spotted a vehicle being driven erratically on 19th Street East, near the Broadway Bridge. The vehicle was a grey Saturn Vue, which had been reported stolen from Clavet, Sk. The vehicle was witnessed running red lights and an attempt to stop the vehicle by members of Patrol was not successful. The vehicle proceeded to leave the city limits, however the SPS Air Support Unit was able to monitor the vehicle from the air and witnessed it becomes stuck near Range Road 3072 and Whelan Road. Officers located the two men hiding in bushes nearby.

They men were taken into custody and found to be in possession of an air soft firearm and methamphetamine.

They are facing a number of charges including Evade Police. Possession of Methamphetamine, Dangerous Driving and Possession of Stolen Property.
