A man and a woman are facing a number of weapons related charges following a vehicle stop Saturday night.
At approximately 9:15 p.m., July 7, 2018, Patrol officers observed a suspicious 1989 BMW Cabriolet convertible traveling west on 33rd Street near Avenue G. Police conducted a traffic stop of the car in the 100 block of Avenue G North. As the officers approached the vehicle, they observed what appeared to be a sawed-off rifle on the floor of the car. The two occupants of the vehicle were arrested without incident. A duffel bag containing masks, liquor, a .22 caliber rifle, an imitation firearm, ammunition and a knife was located inside of the car.
A 35 year old woman from Littlepine First Nation and a 38 year old man from North Battleford are facing 18 weapons related charges.
