Two men are facing drug trafficking charges following a traffic stop last night.
At 11:50 p.m., July 30, 2018, Patrol officers observed a vehicle being driven by a suspended driver. A vehicle stop was conducted in the 1100 block of 22nd Street West. The driver provided Police with a false name. Officers soon confirmed his true identity and found that he did not possess a valid driver’s licence. He was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine, and was subsequently arrested without incident. The passenger was found to have outstanding warrants and was also arrested without incident. Police located over 13 grams of methamphetamine inside of the vehicle. An imitation pistol was also located underneath the driver’s seat.
A 20 year old Saskatoon man is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Obstructing an Officer, Breach of Probation and Breach of Recognizance. He also had numerous outstanding warrants.
A 37 year old Saskatoon man is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Breach of Probation. He also had numerous outstanding warrants.
Further firearm related charges are pending.
