The Saskatoon Police Service responded to a report of an armed robbery to a business in the 1600 block of 22nd Street West at approximately 10:30PM on August 1, 2018.
A lone male entered the establishment armed with a pipe and demanded the cash register be opened. The employee did not open the cash register but instead sounded an audible alarm causing the suspect to flee on foot. A K9 member located the suspect a few blocks from the scene where he was taken into custody without incident.
A 20 year old male faces a charge of robbery and will appear in Provincial Court in the morning of August 2nd, 2018.
