Saskatoon Police arrested a man yesterday after receiving reports that he was seen with a firearm.
At approximately 5:45 p.m., September 25, 2018, officers on Patrol conducted a high-risk traffic stop on an SUV after receiving a report that the driver was observed in possession of a gun. Police located the vehicle parked near the intersection of Powe Street and Rayner Avenue. The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun, ammunition, a knife, an imitation firearm, bear spray, an axe and Fentanyl.
A 39 year old man is charged with 26 weapons-related offences, Possession of Fentanyl and Breach of Probation. He is expected to make his first court appearance this afternoon.
