A Saskatoon woman is receiving treatment in hospital after being struck by a vehicle yesterday.
At approximately 4:30 p.m., February 6, 2018, Police were dispatched to the intersection of Confederation Drive and Laurier Drive for a report of a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers located an injured 32 year old woman. Further investigation showed that a vehicle had gone through an amber traffic light and struck the woman. The victim was transported to hospital by ambulance in serious but stable condition.
The driver, a 52 year old woman, was issued a ticket for Disobeying an Amber Light.
Police wish to thank the members of the public who provided assistance to the victim before emergency services arrived.
