A man, woman and a female youth are facing charges following an incident in which a stolen truck evaded police before ending up in a ditch north of Saskatoon on the weekend.
At approximately 8:30 p.m., October 27, 2018 Police were called to a parking lot in the 300 block of Marquis Drive regarding a possible stolen truck. Upon arrival, officers located the Ford F350 and confirmed it had been reported stolen from Lloydminster. As the truck began to leave the area, officers were able to deploy a tire deflation device successfully. The truck continued to travel with two flat tires and left the city limits. It left the highway a short time later and the three occupants abandoned the vehicle on foot. Two females, ages 24 and 16 were located in a nearby slough. The 35 year old male driver of the vehicle was located in a tree.
The male is facing charges of possession of stolen property, evading Police and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. The two females are facing charges of possession of stolen property.
