Five people have been arrested and charged following an investigation by the Saskatoon Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team (SIDEST).
On November 1, 2018, members of SIDEST observed two people participating in activity that was consistent with drug trafficking in the 2200 block of St. Patrick Avenue. As a result, Police arrested four persons out of a vehicle in a parking lot at Ruth Street and Lorne Avenue. Police seized crystal methamphetamine packaged for distribution, cash, brass knuckles, bear spray, a digital scale and other paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
As a result of the arrests, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 2200 block of St. Patrick Avenue at approximately 2:30 a.m., November 2, 2018. Police seized 129 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 27 grams of cocaine, 200 ml bottle of GHB, 1 gram of suspected heroin/fentanyl powder, 61 grams of an unknown powder believed to be a cutting agent and a small amount of cash. One male was arrested at the residence.
Three women and two men are facing charges relating to drug-trafficking. A fifth person was arrested but later released without charges.
