Four men are facing charges following an investigation by the Saskatoon Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team (SIDEST).
On December 19, 2018, members of SIDEST observed a series of activity that was consistent with drug trafficking throughout the afternoon from a residence in the 100 block of 29th Street West. One male was arrested during a traffic stop in the 800 block Idylwyld Drive North. A second male was arrested following a traffic stop on a taxi at 1st Avenue and 25th Street East. Officers attempted to arrest two other males as they left the apartment, however they fled on foot when approached. They were apprehended following a foot chase near Idylwyld Drive and 29th Street.
Police seized a total of;
- 79.48 grams of powdered cocaine
- 59.96 grams of crack cocaine
- 1.3 grams of MDMA
- 6 x Tylenol-4 (60mg Codeine each)
- 6.56 grams of hash
- Over $5100 in cash
Four men between the ages of 25 and 29 are each charged with; Trafficking Cocaine, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine and Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5000.
