Just prior to 8:00 p.m. the SPS was notified that Warman RCMP were responding to a report of an adult male in distress. He was reported to be driving a vehicle heading toward Saskatoon while making threats to harm himself and law enforcement officers, and was in possession of a handgun. The RCMP utilized a tire deflation device, partially disabling the subject vehicle. Members of SPS Patrol simultaneously responded to the scene near Dundonald Avenue and Valley Road. He was transported to hospital where he was declared deceased. Throughout the incident the adult male had been in contact by phone with several individuals including members of the SPS Crisis Negotiation Unit.
