A 31 year old man is in hospital with a serious injury following a shooting on New Year's Day.
At approximately 11 p.m., January 1, 2019 Police received a report of an injured male in the 800 block of Steeves Avenue. Upon arrival the 31 year old victim was located outside, suffering from an injury to the leg. He was transported to hospital by Medavie Health Services where he is receiving treatment. Initial investigation has determined that drugs, including methamphetamine may have been involved in the incident. There are no suspects at this time. Members of the Targeted Enforcement Section are now investigating.
