A Saskatoon man is in custody after reportedly threatening someone with a firearm on Friday.
At approximately 11:00 a.m., April 5, 2019, Saskatoon Police were called to a home in the 3600 block of 33rd Street West for a report of a man who had discharged a handgun. Upon arrival, officers learned that a male suspect had attended to a home and had a brief conversation with the residents inside, which are believed to be known to the suspect. Before leaving in a red Century Buick, the suspect reportedly pointed the firearm at the resident and fired one shot into the air. No one was injured.
At approximately 5:10 p.m., Police located the suspect vehicle parked in the 400 block of 4th Avenue North. Officers observed the male suspect in the driver’s seat along with a single, female passenger. A high-risk vehicle stop was conducted and both the male and female were taken into custody without incident. The female was later released without charges.
A 36 year old Saskatoon man is facing numerous firearms related charges as well as Uttering Threats.
